One Blue Thumb Watering Bell
4.5″ wide x 4.75″ tall
Holds about 2 cups of water
Watering bells have been used since the 13th century. There are a gentle way to water young seedlings and tender plants. They have many names, watering bell, thumb watering jug, rain pot. Our rain pots are fired to stoneware temperatures (2300), making them very durable for inside and outside use. The design is like a little bell and glazed with a deep blue glaze. They are a practical and lovely addition to any garden.
Submerge the bell in water until it’s full. Place your thumb over the top hole to create a vacuum and keep the water in. Hold the bell over your plant and remove your thumb to release a gentle sprinkle of water. Replace your thumb over the hole to stop the water flow. They come with the option of a drip plate, which is handy for the indoor gardens to have somewhere to place it after watering.
All my pottery is lead and cadmium free. It is also dishwasher and microwave safe.
